April is Poetry Month in Mississauga and the city is calling youth poets, writers and literary enthusiasts to submit their work to participate in its poetry slam.
The contest is open to youth between the ages of 14 to 24 years old who are based in Mississauga.
The deadline to apply is April 15 at 9 p.m. and submissions must include original content only. Applicants can only perform a poem they have written themselves.
The poetry slam will take place virtually April 28. It will be scored and prizes will be offered to the top three poets.
