10th Annual Mississauga Italfest

As Mississauga’s first and premier Italian festival, Italfest has been named one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario, year after year. Mirroring Italy’s national holiday Ferragosto, Italfest takes place annually in August and is a free event celebrating the beauty of Italian heritage and culture.

Featured are exciting pasta and watermelon eating contests, kids and family attractions, Heritage center and displays, a VIP Lounge and Bar Italia, celebrity chef demos, delicious culinary experiences and a variety of market vendors.

Live entertainment thrives with Friday’s exciting bands and Under the Sauga Moon dance party. Popular headliner, Manuela Villa, comes to us direct from Italy on Saturday, complete with local and regional singers, musicians, dancers, and comedians to entertain both days. Bocce ball and scopa tournaments, a film screening, sports zone and soccer challenge round out the attractions. Italian dignitaries, local multi-cultural community groups and Italo-Canadian social clubs across Ontario will join for an opening ceremony procession at Italfest, in one of Canada’s most celebrated and diverse cities.

Local visitors and tourists alike will again enjoy the sights and sounds of a live authentic taste of Italy at this year’s LIVE Mississauga Italfest.
