“The Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle is returning to Port Credit Memorial Park for its 24th annual festival from Sept. 9 to 11.
An annual staple in the south end of the city, Southside Shuffle features a vast lineup of prominent blues performers.
Organizers of this year’s event said the upcoming festival will include acts from all across North America, as well as Finland and Germany.
Headline acts for this year will be Finland’s Erja Lyytinen — billed as Europe’s Queen of the Slide Guitar — on Friday, multiplatinum, Juno Award-winning Kim Mitchell on Saturday and the legendary Downchild Blues Band as per the festival’s Sunday tradition.
Returning this year for the first time after a two-year hiatus is the free Rabba Fine Foods Street Shuffle from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday along the Lakeshore Road strip in Port Credit.
The night before the festival, fans can check out the Beggars Blues Banquet at the Port Credit Legion, featuring a night of blues hosted by The Hogtown Allstars and featuring Chuck Jackson along with other acts.
The Southside Shuffle is presented by many sponsors and grant partners, such as the Port Credit BIA and City of Mississauga.
