There was a full house at the meeting room at the new Churchill Meadows Community Centre on Friday night. The occasion – the launch of The Other I – the memoir written by prominent local artist Zohra Zoberi, poet, playwright, successful banker and office manager and this night, a celebrated author.
The program included host Brian Hull, MC Mary Ellen Koroscil and guest speakers Reva Stern for the writers and editors network, Linda Thomas, arts management consultant, playwright Ameer Jaffrey, and Mike Douglas for MAC, with readings of poems and highlights from this remarkable story of a young woman who travelled the world and made her home in the multicultural warmth of Mississauga.
