Connecting Mississauga to the arts, and the arts to Mississauga and beyond
Join Martys HUBManu Mrityunjay is a multidisciplinary artist engaged with spaces both within and at the intersections of text, sound and image, continually (dis)locating himself in/with twin planks of crisis and anxiety. His work involves a performance to orchestrate a negotiation between intuition, and allowed accidents. Tracing the shared site of pleasure, beauty, the fear of the unknown and overcoming is the reward at the end. Born in India, Mrityunjay made Canada his second home in the year 2013.
In the next two years after moving to Canada, he published two books (“Away ya Damn poems” 2014, “Swaha” 2019), a dozen essays and produced two music albums (Songs from basement 2015, Su.N Sakhiye 2020).
The exhibit runs till March 28th., at the Studio M Gallery, 951 Lakeshore Rd. East, Mississauga.
