The City of Mississauga’s annual summer festival celebrating our agricultural past and present with events hosted at the Benares Historic House.
From June 1 to July 3, enjoy workshops and events for all ages, inspired by Clarkson Village’s history as the strawberry capital of Ontario, and the strawberry socials that took place during the summer season.
Activities include:
PlayTours Scavenger Hunt:
- June 1 to July 3 during public hours
- Learn about native plants and pollinators through our on-site, self-led scavenger hunt “What’s the Buzz?”. Visit pyts.link and enter Game Code: 8KE4 to play. When complete, go to the Visitor Centre to enter for a chance to win a home garden gift pack.
Benares Outdoor Market:
- June 17 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Enjoy a free one-day outdoor market which includes historic food samples, self-guided tours of the Historic House, crafts, and live music. Produce, craft and food vendors will be selling local products, and non-perishable food donations will be accepted for the Compass Food Bank.
