Snail Mail brings together 4 diverse practices from Mississauga creatives to provide a playful, community-engaged and interactive postcard project. We’re sending limited-edition art packages to you, for free!

Community members are also invited to respond to the project in a pen pal exchange – postcard with prepaid stamp and return address included. Reply to one or more of us with a written note, doodles, stickers, pressed flowers, collages, or anything else! We would love to see any and all responses from our community. Postcards we receive will be archived here.

Each package contains:

• 4 signed postcards, 1 from each creative – this is from us to you ♡
• 1 postcard with a prepaid stamp and return address – please send this one back to us!
• 1 mini zine with artwork information

Anjalee Nadarajan is a writer, musician, and PhD student based in Mississauga. Her written work has been published in Acta Victoriana, Living Hyphen, antilang magazine, and Sunday Night Bombers among other places. In 2021, she was one of the featured artists for Presence, an initiative funded by the City of Mississauga.

Ray Vidal is a multidisciplinary artist, muralist, musician and educator. He is passionate about bringing people together and making meaningful connections with community through art integration, space activation, public art engagement, murals, mentorships, workshops, programming, concerts and community events. Since graduating from OCAD University his art practice has expanded into the public art realm focusing on murals, illustrations, installations, digital artworks, live performance and teaching programs and workshops for non profit organizations around the city.

Amanda Foulds (she/her) an artist, educator and arts administrator based in Mississauga. She holds a degree in Fine Art from OCAD University and has worked as an arts instructor and programming coordinator for organizations across the GTA. She is passionate about supporting creatives in her community and believes in the magic of collaboration. Her artistic practice is inspired by collage and photographic pratices.

Yen Linh Thai (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and muralist based in Mississauga. Her work explores the whimsical and is largely inspired by stories and storytelling. She strives to make art that exists between two and three dimensions. In recent years, Linh has expanded her practice to public art projects, creating artworks inspired by the communities they live in.
