From April 27-29, experience fine arts at the Waterside Inn presented by Arts on the Credit! This annual art show is sure to be a hit for the Port Credit art scene. This season, like previous ones, showcases beautiful art from local artists throughout the GTA.

Marie Payne, founder and director of Arts on the Credit (AOTC) mentions this year’s theme will be “Magic” – highlighting the creative processes each artist goes through with their works. All works submitted by these artistsadri must have been created between 2021 and 2024 to qualify for the showcase. The works themselves cover a range of mediums including ceramics, glass, wood, jewellery, textiles, photography and paintings in oils, acrylics and mixed media. AOTC has hosted artists from all over Southern Ontario including London and Ottawa!
Speaking with Adriana Rinaldi, long-time AOTC member and exhibitor on her experience with the annual show, she says, “As an artist who started my art career in Mississauga, I feel thrilled there is a place for me to show my artworks to the community. People come to see the show from all different locations including Toronto, Milton, Oakville and Burlington”.
Launched in 2012, Arts on the Credit is an independent not-for-profit arts organization advocating for, promoting, and mentoring local artists through high-end juried shows, monthly artists meetings, workshops, and virtual events. In 2022, with the return of in-person events, AOTC celebrated their 10th anniversary of the fine art show!
The Waterside Inn is located on the shores of Lake Ontario and the banks of the Credit River. It also happens to host the Art Show almost every year. Prizes of $50 gift certificates to be spent at the show will be awarded every hour. This year there will be a “show within the show” as AOTC features the best work in a gallery setup in the centre of the ballroom. AOTC will host an opening evening on April 26, 2024, with refreshments for guests and a special magical mystical entertainer. “There is something for everyone due to the wide range of artists’ works and there is music and a great vibe in the air. It’s the highlight of my year,” mentions Adriana, so be sure to check it out this April!
