In 1974, the Town of Mississauga and the villages of Streetsville and Port Credit came together to form what we know today as the City of Mississauga. Over the past 50 years, the City has grown to be the third-largest in Ontario and seventh-largest in Canada.

A significant contributor to Mississauga’s rapid development was the aviation industry that started right here in Malton. Explore some of the rarely seen photographs from the Museums of Mississauga’s historic collection. Discover the people, places and planes that built Malton’s aviation legacy.
