It has been a pleasure to adjudicate this selection of works celebrating our shared humanity and the spaces we occupy on an increasingly fragile planet. Each artist has articulated a unique vision through their images and statements, allowing us as viewers to find multiple layers of meaning both within individual pieces and the interplay of works throughout the exhibition.

Featured Guest – Robert Steven, Executive Director of the Portrait Gallery of Canada, was a CLOSING DAY HIGHLIGHT at the Falls Gallery in the Alton Mill Arts Centre leading a vibrant Conversation Circle exploring, “When your subject is people.” Spellbound and involved, the audience thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant exchange with two artists, Sherry Park and Paul McCusker, and three photographers, Monique Campbell, James Elliott, and Frank Myers.

Bonus Tour continues the visual conversation of the human condition, by encouraging people to reflect on … “Who am I?” and “What does it mean to be human? This three month, two city tour features the winning pieces, her portraiture work from her Archival Collection, and tributes to business and arts organizations in the community who supported this endeavour.
