#LoveLocal Live Music Program
Event Producer Development Program

To help mitigate the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the live music industry and help the local music sector to rebuild, the City of Mississauga’s Culture Division is running an event producer development program, including a series of ticketed concerts, to invest in musicians and emerging local event producers.Participants will be selected through an application process. If selected, they will have access to skill-building workshops, an experienced industry mentor, and an opportunity to gain experience and generate revenue through hosting a ticketed concert in the Mississauga Celebration Square Amphitheatre. As part of the program, the Culture Division will cover venue, house sound system and technician, and staffing fees for each event.Workshops covering topics such as ticketing and concert marketing will take place in July, while concerts will take place in late summer/early fall of 2021, pending public health regulations from the Province of Ontario.

Who is eligible to apply?

• Mississauga residents 18 years of age and over
• Musicians, promoters, event producers (example only, applicants are not restricted to one of these categories)
• Concerts must feature at least 50% Mississauga-based performers

Who is not eligible?

• Organizations that have produced a large scale event at Mississauga Celebration Square in the last five years
• Organizations that have received funding through Mississauga’s Culture Grants program in the last five years
