Expression of Interest

The City of Mississauga’s Public Art Program invites professional artists and artist-led teams to submit expressions of interest to create permanent public artwork(s) to be integrated into Future City Park (Elm West Drive and Kariya Drive, Mississauga, ON).

There are several opportunities for integrated public art that will add value to the public realm experience of the park, including paving surfaces, sculptural installations, iconic shade structure, signage, recreational track/activity trail, and site furnishings. The goals of the artwork(s) are to be inclusive and encourage the public to feel inspired, excited, connected, and supported.

This is a two-stage selection process. Artists selected to submit proposals in Stage 2 shall receive an honorarium of $2,000.00 CAD.

Total budget for this project is $165,000 + HST.

Submissions will be accepted until Monday, September 6, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
