The Canada Council for the Arts is delighted to reward exceptional contributions that enhance Canada’s artistic and cultural landscape. Today, we announce the 2021 winners of the John Hobday Awards in Arts Management and the Virginia Parker Prize. With these John Hobday Awards, we recognize professional development and mentoring by talented arts managers in Canadian professional arts organizations. With this Virginia Parker Prize, we salute the outstanding talent of a musician under the age of 32. Our 2021 winners John Hobday Awards in Arts Management (two $10,000 prizes) Wafa Al Zaghal – Professional Development Award President and Founder of the Festival of Arabic Music & Arts (Mississauga, Ontario) Xavier Roy – Mentorship Award Executive Director of the Festival de Lanaudière (Joliette, Quebec) Virginia Parker Prize ($25,000) Cameron Crozman, Cellist (Montréal, Quebec) Our heartfelt congratulations go out to the 2021 winners of these prizes! #CCPrizesLe Conseil des arts du Canada est fier de récompenser des artistes d’exception dont la contribution enrichit la vie artistique et culturelle du pays.
