Daya White is an illustrator and comic artist who’s work emphasizes warmth and gentleness. Specializing in vibrant digital illustration, she can also be found experimenting with multimedia paint and paper craft to create multilayered illustrations, zines and stationery. Daya is a frequent attendee to the Mississauga Comic Expo hosted by the Mississauga Library. She is an avid believer in the strength of comics and sequential art to form connections and develop a deeper way to read for both children and adults. Her self published short comics often tackle topics of grief, introspection and 2SLGBTQA+ experiences in an approachable and trauma informed way. She hopes to publish a longer format comic in 2024.
