For aspiring performers, it’s all about their one big break. The moment when fate calls their name and the spotlight finally lands on their mark. In 42nd Street, the name fate calls is Peggy Sawyer, a talented young tap dancer from Allentown, Pennsylvania. After she follows the stars in her eyes and moves to New York City, Peggy gets noticed by a famous director and lands a chorus role in a brand new show. But when the lead gets injured, they scramble for a new lead star and the show is on the line. Enter Peggy Sawyer, the one talent bright enough to take on the leading role. Her rise to stardom is what Broadway dreams are made of. 42nd Street leaves it all on the stage with show-stopping tap dances and high energy ensemble numbers set to audience favourites like “Lullaby of Broadway” and “We’re in the Money”.
