As You Like It lives up to its name: it’s a many-splendored play. It’s a comedy about a duke who turns his woodland exile into a commune of sorts. It’s a delightfully queer play. It’s a play full of people in love with the wrong people, and other people who are quite cruel about that. It’s a play about generational strife, and sibling rivalries, and class conflict. It also has a god in it. And it’s the one that tells us that “all the world’s a stage.”
