Connecting Mississauga to the arts, and the arts to Mississauga and beyond
Join Martys HUBCredit Valley Artisans hosts its 49th annual Christmas Sale with gifts from the heart,
made by our hands, on November 18 and 19 at Cedarvale Park Cottage located at 181-185
Main Street South in Georgetown. The doors are open Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and 10
am to 4 pm on Sunday. Admission, parking, and much good cheer are free.
The four guilds have been busily gearing up production to be ready for those eager visitors
and shoppers. The Potters and Sculptors, Stained Glass Artisans, Heritage Hand Weavers and
Spinners, and Palette and Pencil Guilds have put their best foot forward [or hands in most cases]
with the beautiful creations made for this annual sale.
The cottage is a sight to behold both inside and out with seasonal decorations and themed
rooms to peruse with an exciting mix of artisanal creations from the guilds. Discover the magic
of the holiday season with the warmth and congeniality of the artisans and artists of
Georgetown’s Credit Valley Artisans.
Credit Valley Artisans was founded in 1975 so that the various guilds, artisans, and artists in Georgetown and vicinity might have
a studio space for their work and a gathering place to exchange views and support each other. The four guilds are Potters and
Sculptors, Stained Glass Artisans, Heritage Hand Weavers and Spinners, and Palette & Pencil Plus, recently joined by a Knitters
Guid. Weekly and/or monthly meetings with access for studio work are scheduled for each guild along with different classes
offered to the community.
