Corbeil’s play about social media and human relationships was described as an “entirely new theatrical experience” by one of the many enthusiastic reviewers of its Anglophone premiere at Toronto’s Canadian Stage in 2017. A thrilling exploration of online self-perception and self-presentation in the analogue medium of the theatre, Five Faces asks questions about truth and authenticity that have only become more urgent in the six years since it was last staged in the GTA.
