Connecting Mississauga to the arts, and the arts to Mississauga and beyond
Join Martys HUBThe Heather Bambrick Trio includes three musical powerhouses on the Canadian Jazz scene with vocalist Bambrick, pianist Stu Harrison, and bassist Ross MacIntyre.
Founder Heather Bambrick, a JUNO/ECMA-nominee, collaborates widely and successfully with some of Canada’s top musicians, orchestras, and ensembles, and is the morning voice of CJRT FM 91.1 radio. Pianist Stu Harrison, who started with the Suzuki Method later graduating with honours from University of Toronto’s Jazz Performance program, covers many entrepreneurial directions, while Ross MacIntyre is “one of the most sought-after bassists on the Canadian Jazz scene” and tours on the international scene with several acclaimed musicians.
With music ranging from jazz standards and pop hits to Newfoundland folk music and sitcom themes, her shows have been described as “Carol Burnett meets Ella Fitzgerald at a Newfoundland kitchen party”.
Make this long May weekend a special jaunt up into the hills of Halton with this concert at the John Elliott Theatre in downtown Georgetown. Right outside the theatre doors in the Upper Sisnett Lobby of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre you can also enjoy the 3rd annual FORMS, FACES & SPACES, figuratively speaking! exhibit.
