Join Martys HUBWe’re holding an art show featuring the work of Latinx women artists as part of our Hispanic/Latin American Heritage Month programming!
The exhibit will feature work from three local artists: Adriana Rosselli, Ana Lopez, and Maria “Feru” Ibarra.
Opening reception will be on October 21 at 7pm, but you can enjoy the exhibit from October 17-30 at Visual Arts Mississauga.

About the Artists
Adriana Rosselli
Adriana Rosselli is a Colombian-Canadian painter. She works primarily with acrylics, mixed media, collage, encaustic and oils, focusing her abstracts on colour and texture. Adriana has studied in Colombia under the tutelage of Yalile Fadul and in Canada at the Toronto School of Arts and the Montreal Centre of Visual Arts. She has participated in group shows with the Guelph Arts Council, the Latin Canadian Arts and Cultural Association, the Montreal Visual Arts Centre, the Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association and the Toronto School of Art. 20 YEARS TODAY was Adriana’s first solo exhibition.
Ana Lopez
Ana Gabriela Lopez Castro, is a Mexican Visual artist based in Toronto, living on the East End. Her artistic formation started in the areas of photography and printmaking in 2000, when she first found the best way to express her voice. She is an active exponent of Mexican Folk Art, through the presentation of her artistic and handcrafted alebrijes, fantastic creatures made on paper mache. The love for her roots and Mother Nature are always present in her work.
Maria Ibarra
Maria Ibarra, also known as Feru, is a Latin American artist, based in Canada. She has lived in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Ontario. She is a writer, painter, illustrator, sculptor, set decorator for theatre and film industry, but, above all, a passionate lover of a medium that everyone has used at some point in their lives: plasticine. She has participated in more than 30 individual and collective exhibitions, each expressive of her soul. She has also worked as a tireless art teacher, spreading the importance of art and its benefits.
