Featuring special guest, David Leask! Originally from Scotland, David Leask is a veteran live performer and recipient of the Mississauga Performing Artist of the Year Award. A born song-chaser, natural storyteller, and creator of seven critically acclaimed records, David has won multiple international songwriting awards in different genres. Indeed, Songwriters Magazine called him, “the most consistent Canadian songwriting competition winner.” David was named Mississauga Music 2021 Songwriter of the Year. Want to perform at our MAC Arts Cafe – Online Open Mic?
Auditions for our November MAC Arts Cafe are due Friday, November 12 by noon.
Each performer gets a 7-minute timeslot or the equivalent of two songs.
Submit an online audition including:
- your contact information
- a short bio about you (max. 200 words)
- a video or audio recording of you performing (submit as a link)
- a headshot (for promotional purposes)
You will be contacted by the Mississauga Arts Council with:
- confirmation if you’ve been selected as a performer
- details on how to join the online broadcast studio, your time slot, and what you need in order to perform from home
