About the Presenter:

Multi-craftual Sandra Clarke is a Mississauga based artist and educator. As a zero-waste textile, fibre, and paper artist, Sandra repurposes fabric, yarn, and paper giving them new life as useful, beautiful things often with quiet, yet powerful, thoughtful messages. Sandra is a Craftivist.

Craft + Activism = Craftivism, a gentle way of protest and creative communication.

As a designer, Sandra uses vibrant graphic arts to digitally express environmental and social issues in art books and recently murals. Sandra’s organic, digital patterns use bright, colourful ombre and whimsical geometrics for an optimistic and fresh aspect.

Sandra’s early adoption of an online presence evolved into teaching artists how to build or rebuild their digital online practices. Whether making, designing, or teaching, Sandra knows art can be a catalyst for change.
