MUSIC CARE TRAINING

Music Care by Room 217’s 3-level standardized training in the theory and application of music in care settings will help train professional, volunteer and family caregivers to integrate music into regular practice. This training also acts as a gateway for other stakeholders wanting to use music as care.

Learn about effects of music in care situations in this evidence-based standard training. All classes are currently being offered online only. Prerequisite: MUSIC CARE TRAINING LEVEL 1

You will:

  • Develop an understanding of applied music care principles in specific contexts
  • Demonstrate a practical understanding of how to implement music care programs into care settings
  • Demonstrate knowledge of research in music care in specific care contexts
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of research in the 5 domains of music and wellbeing
  • Identify personal learning objectives for specific music care skills
