One hundred, 6” X 8” canvases created by Ontario artists and including several internationally submitted pieces from members of the Art Guild of the Purple Isles (AGPI) in the Florida Keys will be unveiled at the second Annual Tapestry of Art and Music event, a musically themed, art show & sale fundraising event on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Alton.

All art works will be available for sale at $60 each or 2 for $100. Additional afternoon festivities in the outdoor arts space, under the tented roof over the Annex include the incredible and inspiration voices/music by the 50+ person, Achill Choral Society and Vito Loschiavo on the classical guitar.

Nancy Kluger, Chair of Headwaters Arts Events Committee, “We are thrilled with all the stunning works submitted and are so grateful to the 100 artists from across Headwaters Region, Mississauga, Halton Region, Guelph, Toronto, Barrie and beyond for their time, talent and participation.”
She adds, “New this year is an exciting partnership with artists from the Art Guild of the Purple Isles (AGPI) arts community in Florida Keys, who graciously wanted to support our event. It’s simply great to have more art to enjoy, it adds yet another great component to our event”.

View, buy and win! Enjoy some refreshments while you browse and when you purchase one or more pieces of art, you are automatically entered into the free draw to take home a framed, signed, original, 1/1, silkscreen print titled, “Tour de Force” (1986) by the iconic, Canadian Pop artist Charles Pachter.

The event is free, but a suggested donation of $10 per person would be greatly appreciated. Your donation also puts your name into the free draw. All proceeds from the sale of art works support Headwaters Arts. The not-for-profit organization’s goal is to stay resilient, and continue to grow their year-round Headwaters Arts Gallery programming/operations/shows, publish the first ever, Headwaters Arts member’ directory, increase membership and offer new opportunities for member/local/regional artists.
