About the MARTYS

The Mississauga Arts Awards (The MARTYS) are Mississauga Arts Council’s (MAC) annual awards celebration honouring outstanding creative contributions to the arts in our city. Each year we recognize honourees whose creative excellence helps transform Mississauga’s arts sector. The most comprehensive arts awards in Canada begin with cocktails on the red carpet at 6, and move into the ballroom for dinner and the entertaining MARTY Awards Show Gala at 7. Join us to salute the winners and finalists for their outstanding achievements in support of a more creative city.

Red Carpet Reception: 6:00PM (doors open at 5:30pm)

Award Presentations & Dinner: 7:00PM

Please use the West Entrance of the Mississauga Convention Centre when you arrive.

Menu:

Salad Course:

Medley of Organic Greens with Carrot, Cucumber, and Cherry Tomatoes topped with a Lemongrass Vinaigrette.

Main Course:

Cranberry & Pumpkin Seed Crusted Chicken, served with Roasted Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables

Vegetarian option – Mushroom Risotto served with a Seasonal Vegetable Tower

Dessert Course:

Caramel Crunch – layers of meringue, caramel, and whipped cream with chocolate drizzle

Vegan option – Mixed Berry Sorbet served with Fresh Seasonal Berries.

The reception will include non-alcoholic punch and passed hors d’oeuvres.

Entertainment & Award Presentations:

Start the evening at our Red Carpet Reception to the smooth sound of The Freeman Brothers Band.

The MARTY Award show includes performances by previous MARTY winners: David Leask, Adina V, and Qurat Dar. Canadian Anthem by Jasy. MORE to be announced!

Host Donovan Fernandes will lead the night as MAC presents 20+ Awards in Artistic Practice Categories and Community Art Categories.

Ticket Options:

You can purchase a single ticket or multiple tickets through Eventbrite.

• The event has assigned seating with tables seating ten (10) people.
• If you wish to purchase multiple tickets or a table and have not confirmed your guest names, please feel free to use placeholder values (GUEST NAME) and we will confirm your guest list two weeks prior to the event.

Mississauga Arts Council will try to accommodate seating requests if individuals purchase tickets separately, however we do not make any guarantees. If you wish to sit at the same table as other guests or friends, we highly recommend you purchase your tickets in a single order.
