Clowning for Dancers Workshop
Hey there! Did you know Frog in Hand is opening its Summer Company workshops to professional artists for the first time? Well the wait is over and the rumors are true.
Join professional clown and physical theatre artist Andrew Gaboury at Port Credit’s heritage building, Clarke Memorial Hall, on Wednesday, June 8th to dive headfirst into the world of clowning. This day-long workshop will explore the joy of movement, tempered by the hard-biting truth of the present moment. The curriculum will cover clowning basics, including play, joy, lightness, nonverbal communication, presence, duo dynamics and a trip on the old emotional rollercoaster. This workshop is tailored to dancers and performers whose main vocabulary is movement – ideal for professional or pre-professional artists with an interest in theatrical clowning. Visit THIS LINK to register – space is extremely limited!
