“One of Mississauga’s most beloved cultural traditions, Carassauga, will be kicked off at Mississauga’s Dixie Outlet Mall again this year.

Now in its 38th year, Canada’s biggest multicultural festival is held every year to celebrate all of the diverse cultures found here in Mississauga, letting residents get a taste of different experiences from around the world without having to leave the city.

On Saturday, May 6, an exciting Parade of Nations will take place inside Dixie Outlet Mall (located at the QEW and Dixie Road) to showcase all of the cultural pavilions that Carassauga will feature this year.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m. in the mall’s east side (in front of Winners), eventually moving all the way to the stage area where entertainers will take the stage for a variety of music and dance performances.

There will also be family-friendly activities for kids to enjoy as well as giveaways offering fun prizes!

The festivities last from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 6.

The full festival will happen from May 26 to 28 for three full days of live entertainment, activities, and food from various cultures around the world.

Admission tickets (called “passports”) for the festival are on sale now.

Carassauga Festival is an incorporated non-profit volunteer community organization that has celebrated multiculturalism since 1986, and has since grown to become the largest multicultural festival in all of Canada.

Their 2022 festival successfully delighted audiences with shows and performances representing 23 different cultures, and they’re gearing up for even more fun and more cultural representation this year!

Don’t miss Carassauga when it’s officially kicked off on May 6 at Dixie Outlet Mall.
