“There’s nothing like dinner and a show, and fortunately for Mississauga residents, the Living Arts Centre (LAC) has plenty of both.

As one of the city’s best arts and culture spots for 25 years and counting, the Living Arts Centre has a constant stream of fun and lively performances taking place – everything from plays to musicals to comedy shows to concerts. Upcoming performances feature Shaun MajumderColin & BradThe NutcrackerJohnny Reid, and much more.

Guests can also enjoy musical theatre events, as well as performances hosted by the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra (MSO). The MSO has themed shows featuring opera, classical, and music of Star Wars, among many others.

Not only will this be another eventful year for the Living Arts Centre, they’re also celebrating their 25th anniversary this year! More details on what LAC has planned for their anniversary will come in the Fall, so be sure to stay tuned.

The centre itself is fully accessible, being located close to the city’s downtown core, connected to transit, and just steps away from all of the major stores and businesses at Square One.

LAC’s parking garage is located off of Living Arts Drive and it’s free to use on evenings and weekends. The heated lot brings you right to the center’s atrium for even more convenience and accessibility.

The atrium is a staple of the beautiful interiors the Living Arts Centre is known for. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, gorgeous art pieces, and the trademark grand staircase, it provides the perfect backdrop for any event hosted at the centre (and also for those Instagram pics!).

Guests planning a night out at the Living Arts Centre should arrive well before curtain call – not just to beat the crowds but to experience everything else the venue has to offer, including dining options, concession stands, downloading the show playbill on your mobile device, and (at times) picking up some show merchandise.

One of the centre’s most popular amenities is LIVE Restaurant, offering a fine dining experience to enjoy before most shows. The restaurant features artistic décor, lounge ambience perfect for cocktail or networking events, and customizable table arrangements for up to 120 guests. Reservations are open now by calling 905-615-3200 ext. 6116, or emailing live.restaurant@mississauga.ca.

Other food options at LAC include the fully stocked (and licensed) concession stands located in the atrium and on the upper levels.

Mississauga residents who want even more of the performing arts are invited to check out saugaLIVE, the city’s guide for discovering live events and entertainment at five Mississauga venues: The Living Arts Centre, Celebration Square, Paramount Fine Foods Centre, Meadowvale Theatre, and the Small Arms Inspection Building.

With a wide variety of artists, performances, and musical talent all in one place, there’s something for everyone at the Living Arts Centre, all year round. For event details and more information about the venue, visit livingartscentre.ca.
