Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager IT Operations in the Learning Technologies Support Services Department. The successful applicant will provide supervision and direction to media support staff to develop and implement media strategies and deliver media support to all board locations and departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing diverse projects related to media technologies, video production, and sound system installations
- Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging media technologies and platforms relevant to the organization’s objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives, scope, and customer requirements
- Providing leadership and direction including scheduling, assigning, prioritizing and distributing work
- Providing technical and creative direction and expertise for video productions and other media projects
- Overseeing procurements for media related projects including licensing of streaming media content, tenders for school system installations, media technology equipment and other related procurements
- Assisting in the evaluation and selection of various media related hardware and software
- Reviewing and maintaining effective service delivery, including quality of service, work prioritization, production techniques, recommendation of media equipment and overall communication to the system and team members
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary degree in media related studies, business administration or management with technical knowledge related to marketing, communications, media, digital media, video, photography and audio/visual systems
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in progressively responsible positions in a media environment with extensive experience in media planning, strategy development, procurement, video production, audio/visual systems, requirements and installations, photography and related software, and budget management
- Knowledge and understanding of best practices in media streaming and developing training programs
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and technologies, including ad serving platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, initiative, problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, ability to meet timelines and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and success
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge (Microsoft Suite, Teams Rooms, Meeting Rooms Devices)
- Demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment
