Mississauga musician Cat Bernardi, releases “Mona Lisa”– her original Italian translation of the classic jazz standard, popularized by Nat King Cole.

In this exposed acoustic rendition, you’ll hear the delicate and sensitive guitar playing of Antonio Cocuzzo, who also adds Italian flare with lush lines on the mandolin. The song was co-arranged by Cat Bernardi and Thomas Francis, who were both inspired by Italian film composer Ennio Morricone’s melodic approach to story-telling. The single was recorded at Canterbury Studios in Toronto and co-produced by Cat Bernardi and Julian DeCorte.

This single was supported by a MAC MicroGrant award, and will be accompanied by a music video to follow next month. The song is now available to stream or download on all digital platforms. Visit: https://lnk.to/mona.lisa to listen now.
