“The Mississauga Library will be welcoming writers during its upcoming Author Talks series.
The talks, which will be held online, are free with registration and a Mississauga Library card is not required. They are geared for ages 13 and over.
It’s a chance to hear the authors read from their books with an opportunity to ask questions, learn about the writing process and more.

Zarqa Nawaz
Sept. 21, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Zarqa Nawaz is the creator of the “Little Mosque on the Prairie” TV series and author of the memoir “Laughing All the Way to the Mosque.” Her latest work is a satire called “Jameela Green Ruins Everything.”
Sandra SG Wong
Oct. 12, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Sandra SG Wong writes fiction across genres. She is a finalist for the Crime Writers of Canada Awards of Excellence and a nominee for the Whistler Independent Book Awards. Her most recent work is a suspense novel, “In the Dark We Forget.”
Danielle Daniel
Nov. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Danielle Daniel is an award-winning author and illustrator of Indigenous and settler ancestry. Her debut adult novel, “Daughters of the Deer,” is a historical fiction inspired by the lives of her ancestors.
Maxwell Smart
Dec. 14, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Holocaust survivor Maxwell Smart’s memoir “The Boy in the Woods” recounts his story of how he survived the war by hiding in the forest after his family was killed.”
