Modern Mississauga

“On Saturday, February 11, a stunning cast of singers will join the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra to perform Rossini’s beloved comedic opera, The Barber of Seville. This special opera-in-concert is not to be missed!

Narrated by Margaret Cormier, The Barber of Seville follows the escapades of a barber, Figaro (Christopher Dunham), as he assists Count Almaviva (David Walsh) in prising the beautiful Rosina (Alessia Vitali) away from her lecherous guardian, Dr. Bartolo (John Holland).

Widely considered a masterpiece, the sharp witted Barber of Seville is full of instantly recognizable music that has featured prominently in popular culture through film and television. Enjoy The Barber of Seville‘s iconic overture, Figaro’s famous aria, ‘Largo al Factotum”, and more.
