“The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra will take to the stage in Hammerson Hall on Saturday, April 29 to perform the iconic music of Star Wars. From the Imperial March to the Throne Room End Title, The Music of Star Wars will feature well-known pieces from the beloved space opera.
The force will be strong with Maestro Denis Mastromonaco and the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra as they return to the Living Arts Centre to produce their third Star Wars concert in six years. A wildly popular event, the MSO’s Star Wars concerts in 2016 and 2018 sold out well in advance. No tribute to Star Wars would be complete without the characters that have captured imaginations for decades. Cosplay enthusiasts are encouraged to arrive dressed as their favourite characters from the Star Wars galaxy for a chance to win MSO concert tickets, and a rare photo opportunity on stage with the orchestra.
The Music of Star Wars is generously sponsored by Pfaff BMW. Anthony Pellicori, General Manager of Pfaff BMW says, “in sponsoring the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, we hope that in a small way we helped provide opportunities for musicians to showcase their talents and share their passion for music with audiences. Also, that it may spur the creation of new music, the preservation of existing works, and the development of educational programs that can help cultivate the next generation of musicians and music lovers.“
Regular ticket prices start at $40. Special pricing is available for seniors, families, and patrons 15-26. Complimentary underground parking is included with every ticket purchase. Tickets to The Music of Star Wars can be purchased online at mississaugasymphony.ca, or by phone via the Living Arts Centre box office at: 905-306-6000.”
