Exhibit Theme

In today’s world, as we increasingly rely on the internet to connect with others, we risk losing touch with those in our physical communities who keep us safe. Peel Crime Stoppers bridges this gap by bringing first responders and community members together to build safer communities. We must use both online and offline tools to strengthen our bonds and create a shared responsibility for safety. Safety in Numbers is about exploring the intersection of the physical, digital, and community worlds, and how we can use technology to forge human connections.

Remember:
Community means Care,
Care means Connection,
Connection means Protection.
There is Safety in Numbers.

Exhibition Themes: Safety, Community, Care, Connection, Protection

About the Exhibit & Auction

The exhibit will feature both Traditional and Digital Artworks, reflecting the dynamic nature of our connected world. Given the mixed medium nature of the exhibit, we will collaborate closely with selected artists to present their work effectively for the auction. These options are Not Mandatory for selection, interest in this hybrid approach is encouraged:

Traditional artists will have the option to digitize their physical artwork and offer both for sale.

Digital artists will have the option to provide high-quality physical versions of their art for sale.

This Digital Asset (commonly referred to as Non-Fungible Token, or NFT) is a unique identifier that serves as a digital certificate of authenticity that lives on a verified ledger called the blockchain. It is directly linked to the Impact Reporting of that piece. As a Web3 company our focus is on integrating digital aspects of ownership with traditional mediums, bridging the gap between physical and digital art worlds.

Eligibility

  • Professional and Emerging Artists Welcome
  • Open to all Local & National Artists and Collectives based in Canada

Selection Criteria
