A 6-week intergenerational online arts program for Seniors & Youth living in Mississauga, Ontario.

DATE: Thursdays starting February 2, running for 6 weeks (February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2 & 9)

TIME: 4:00 – 6:00 PM

LOCATION: Online – hosted by ZOOM

During this 6-week program, participants will explore their memories and dreams through drawing. Artist/Educator Carla Gonzalez-Casanova will lead them through a series of exercises and processes to focus on personal memories and how to create a visual story.

• Learn different drawing techniques

• Explore how to use different types of drawing tools

• Incorporate collage into your drawings

• Share stories and exchange ideas with the Seniors & Youth group

• Create a storybook in your sketchbook

Participants MUST reside in the Greater Mississauga area. Participants registering MUST be ready to attend each weekly session. Please do not register if you do not intend to attend.

Kindly note: All materials will be provided and can be picked up at the Art Gallery of Mississauga at 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga, prior to the event. Kindly wait for an email before coming for materials (approx 1 week before the start date).

HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS: You will receive a letter of confirmation of volunteer hours after the completion of this program.
