Request for Proposals: Sculpture Court Skate Park

The City of Mississauga Public Art Program invites emerging Mississauga artists or artist teams (photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, painters, etc.) to submit proposals to create original digital artwork for Mississauga’s Sculpture Court, a multi-use ramp and skateboarding park in downtown Mississauga (300 City Centre Drive).

The artwork will be printed on panels and installed in the skate park, creating a captivating visual presence. The commissioned artist(s) will be responsible for creating designs that span over several sections in the park. The City will be responsible for all fabrication and installation.

This opportunity is designed for emerging artists who are interested in gaining experience working in the public realm and learning the technical skills that are required to create artwork in a digital format that is suitable for large-scale reproduction.

The commissioned artist(s) will be expected to complete the project by July 2021.

Total budget for this project is $4,000 +HST.

Submissions will be accepted until May 30, 2021 at 11:45pm.
