TD Culture Lab: Breakthrough to Writers’ Success was an enthralling experience for attendees, participants, volunteers, industry professional writers, and more were invited to help bring their words come to life! At MAC’s recent writers event, writers of all levels — from budding wordsmiths to seasoned writers — gathered for a day of enlightenment and creativity.

Our workshop-packed day was an immersive journey through the intricate realm of writing. We delved into the art of self-editing with the esteemed Joyce Wayne, perfected the art of book pitching guided by Michelle Hillyard, conquered the frustrating writer’s block under the guidance of Dawn Grimmer, explored exciting funding and career avenues courtesy of Sheridan’s Creative Writing & Publishing Program, and engaged in a dynamic Publisher’s Panel led by the insightful Peta-Gaye Nash. These industry leaders dished on the latest literary trends while fostering peer connections that sparked creativity.

Our event served as a vibrant crossroads for Mississauga’s diverse writing community, offering the chance to elevate your craft. Surrounded by fellow writers, the 80+ attendees learned from industry experts, discovered valuable resources at our industry booths, and absorbed wisdom from other creatives during a networking lunch that forged lasting connections. It was a day where inspiration flowed as freely as ink on the page!
