The City of Mississauga’s Summer Concert Series is back! Every Monday beginning July 19th, we will be releasing new video performances by some of Mississauga’s most talented musicians.
Girl Pow-R is an all-girl pop-rock band. The group consists of very talented young girls ages 12+ who create and sing original music, play instruments, dance, and most importantly, inspire others to be the best versions of themselves. Too often, young people are influenced by the thoughts and life experiences of singers and musicians who are in their late teens and 20’s; it’s time to give young people an alternative to these messages. Girl Pow-R was happy to be nominated for the JUNO’s for ‘Album of the Year’ in the Children’s category. They are so excited to be part of the first-ever group of young people to be nominated for a JUNO award in the Children’s Category for Album of the Year.
