We’re excited to welcome you back to the Small Arms Inspection Building which is now open Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 6pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm for public hours.
The health and safety of our employees and guests are our number one priority and we are taking all necessary precautions to maintain a safe environment.
Do I need to be fully vaccinated to enter the Small Arms Inspection Building?
- Any guest over the age of 12, entering to use the facility will be asked for proof of full vaccination at least 14 days prior to your visit along with a piece of identification (photo not required)
What safety measures will be in place once I return to the Small Arms Inspection Building?
- Guests will be asked to read the pre-screening questions prior to entering the facility; If you are sick or answer “yes” to any of the screening questions, we ask you to please stay home.
- You will then be asked to sign in using our ipad or use the QR code posted for contact tracing
- Plexi-glass barriers have been installed at front receptions desks for increased protection.
- Signage will be present throughout the facility to educate and improve awareness about the spread of COVID-19.
- Tables and chairs have been setup to ensure multiple groups are meeting within a safe distance as well as dividers.
- Physical distancing markers have been placed throughout the building to ensure staff and guests are maintaining appropriate distancing of 2-metres (6-feet).
- The Small Arms Inspection Building will deliver a clean and sanitized space and regularly apply a disinfectant to high-touch surfaces in common areas such as washrooms and door handles; enhanced health and safety practice information is available upon request.
Are masks required at the Small Arms Inspection Building?
- All persons entering the Small Arms Inspection Building and remaining on the premises must wear a face covering that securely covers the nose, mouth and chin as required under the City of Mississauga by-law no. 0169-2020
- Exceptions include children two and under, those who have trouble breathing or are otherwise unable to wear a face covering for medical reasons or for reasons of disability, including persons who are unable to remove masks without assistance. Proof of a medical condition or disability is not required.
How are capacity restrictions affecting Small Arms Inspection Building access?
- Occupancies have been created based on guidance by provincial orders and local health authorities.
- Currently, we can accommodate up to 200 people in the space at one time.
